Been back... 6 days, thereabouts. Tucson is way too damned hot. I sleep with the fan on.

Billy gave me mad props for my capacity to meet weird people. I was so proud. Kinda gleed when I read it, like, "Yeah! That's me!" The secret, of course... is that we can smell our own.

I installed Linux on my laptop yesterday. I now have a dual-boot laptop. WindowsXP Professional, and Xandros Open Circulation Edition 2.0. It feels a little strange as a Linux distro, had to manually install CVS, the only shell it comes with is Bash, the only windows environment some supped up KDE. Gnome, why hast thou abandoned me? But yeah. I installed a couple IDE's, Firefox (Opera came with it, but the ads make me feel dirty), mucked around with some settings, got wireless networking going. A dual-boot laptop, man. I feel like I've earned some sort of Geek Merit Badge.

Oh yeah. Unleashing the fury.

I miss people. Jerome and Billy and Pantea, Upgrade and MJ and Amber. I think I developed a mild dorky-level crush on her while I was in SF, but I came back, and it went away. Sort of admitted defeat and scuffled off so as not to pester me while I do time in a desert summer.

Dave: I really, really want to see the new designs. In a mildly desperate kind of way.

Nothing much else of import. Days have been pretty blah. Just felt like I should say something.
