I don't know, after getting back from the roadtrip, things just sort of fell into the same pattern. More coding, eating, sleeping, repeating of process. Nothing much to say. I've been up until 5 in the morning a couple times without even meaning to, but I'm never awake enough to want to crawl out of bed and wander off to my bridge and see a sunrise. I've watched a couple sunsets though. They're more wild and crazy and vibrant than sunrises, especially with all the monsoon clouds that have been cropping up lately. Vivid, jawdropping washes of color, deep oranges and reds, cascading across the sky through the clouds. And if you're looking at just the right minute, you can turn around, and the rest of the sky isn't dark yet, but it's not day either. The most vivid indigo, pulsating blue I've ever seen in my life. I keep wishing I was carrying a camera around so I could show people what I mean. The sun doesn't do this crap in Santa Barbara. It comes up and it goes down, and that really about covers it. I kind of want a camera phone just so I can flip it out of my pocket, point, and click.

Moving in two weeks. I'm not sure how the hell this is going to work out yet, but it's looking like I'm leaving from this apartment to go to SB for the weekend on the 31st, and I'm coming back on the 2nd or so to a totally different apartment. Vacation in the middle of moving. Why? Because I probably shouldn't. But I think I can.

PS: Currently coding up a webservice that mawls the older.html files and archives all dland entries, but ONLY the entries (not the layout). Tentatively considering moving over to jgb. I'll miss people putting me on their buddylists, but it can't be helped until the almighty Andrew makes blists non-dland-exclusive.

Maybe I'll write one of those too.

I R the 1337.
