Yesterday, like all weekdays since this class began, was sacrificed to the code. After four hours of headpounding, I'd wandered outside for a break. There was a plastic safeway bag, spinning circles in the wind. Smirking in a jaded, wankerish sort of way, I wondered if this was supposed to fix me. If I was supposed to go all Ricky and remember there was beauty in the world, before wandering back inside to sell another 8 hours of my life to the keyboard, to the code.
Then, with astounding precision, it flipped so the open side was on the bottom, took off from the ground, and then about 10 feet up in the air it flipped backwards and swooped down on me, grazing my hear so fast that in my head I could hear a "NNNNNNNNEEEOOORRRRMM". Raising my hands in mock surrender, I grinned and thought, "Okay, shit, man, okay! Life is beautiful! Whatever!" The bag spiralled up and around a lightpole as if to say, "Bes' respeck'."
