S'kinda funny, I haven't really been fully awake since I got here. In all seriousness, frequent breaks throughout the day to nap. It's not emotional exhaustion, or stress, it's more positive than that, more mellow, like an onslaught of beautiful lethargy. Not all of it, but most of it.

Yesterday I woke up on Billy's couch. I got a call from him, he was at work.
"When are you coming into town?" my voicemail crackled. I called him back.
"I'm laying down on your couch right now" I crackled back. Half an hour later I was in a car floating down the coast for last minute christmas shopping, and to pick up a VW Bug that had broken down a good 40 or 50 miles from home.

Later that night, I call Girlfriend, who I miss subtly and profusely, not in that "I wuv woo more!" over the phone kind of wretched disgusting way, but in that "Things would be better if she were here to hug every now and then" sort of way.
"We're rolling a joint on a $100 bill" I giggle mischievously into the phone.
"Well, I'm mad at you, and I'm hanging up now."
"Okay. Bye!"
"Bye punkin."

It should be stated, for the sake of contrast against past girls I've mentioned in here... When Nikki said "I'm mad", she was grinning just as wide as I was. It's just another reason to adore her.

And we do!

Couple hours later, Billy and I are going about our tradition of celebrating our birthdays early. The Spearmint Rhino isn't too busy, since that night was the day before Christmas Eve (Christmas Adam, I believe, is the current trendy term for the meta-eve). Afterwards we stood in the parking lot and raised a pound for Dave, so that he might be among the boobies in spirit. The actual strip club experience was kinda "meh" except for one girl who liked to combine lapdances with shoulder rubs, and another who liked nibbling on the John's earlobe. That, too, made me miss Nikki.

A lot.

MOVING ON... Christmas Eve... Billy got me a rock-solid-awesome-present, but I was so exhausted from the sheer act of waking up this morning, that I think I left it there.

I kind of wish Heather was in the states right now. This will be my first trip to Santa Barbara in over a year that does not involve her sporadically galumphing about at 3 in the morning in a fit of livejournal trolling...(As an aside, isn't that a little like a spelling contest with Dan Quayle?)... or walking to the playground with a jar of licorice or a pack of smokes. Small stuff, but I miss that stuff. Small her...
Ha, thought I was going all Emo on you, didincha? DIDINCHA! I'm off to watch some cheesy HBO and fall asleep in time to wake up for the celebration of the birthday of this guy who's really famous for saying people should be nice to eachother.
Or as I like to call it, FreeSchwagDay.
Bring on the schwag!
