Weird, I don't think I've ever gone this long without updating.
Must be losing steam.
Since I last wrote...
1)Classes have started again. I'm taking a C class in the engineering department (GPA padder), Networking, and Parallel and Distributed Computing course. The new tech term for that last one is "Grid Computing", it's about how to write stuff like that SETI screen saver, or all that crazy jazz over at distributed.net that puts the crazy little cow icon in your system tray.
2) I'm getting a new cellphone. Sprint VM4500. $300 phone for 70 bucks, because I know a guy.
3) Those rat bastards who fixed my laptop also reformatted it. A whole bunch of AIM logs, installed, customized software, and my linux partition disappeared with it. I've since re-installed linux, and am currently fiddling with it a whole bunch. That's what my browser is running in right now.
4) Still in possession of one of the coolest girlfriends of all time (TM). We were wandering through Cost Plus the other day, and I asked if she was the type of person who liked doing something special on Valentine's Day. She looked at me as though I'd asked if she was the type of person who enjoyed yodelling naked in abandoned Christmas Tree lots in July.
"No..." was all she said, wrinkling her nose in amusement at the absurd question I'd asked. The next morning I was sprawled out on the couch watching a movie, and she brought me a bowl of cinnamon toast crunch and a cup of coffee. Saying I adore her is like saying the desert is "kinda warm." Words just won't do it justice.
5) My roommates got me an exercise ball and bubblewrap as joke gifts for Christmas, along with a few books, and a playstation copy of Wild Arms, which thrills me beyond reason and to no discernable end. Also, parents (for birthday) got me a fisheye lens for my nikon, which, as soon as it arrives, will be nothing short of awesome to fool around with.
6) Nothing. Those 5 just about cover it.
